“Ultra Bee” is no longer enough information
Two Ultra Bee HP listings can show different output figures while describing different products. We compare the New Zealand MY25 sheet with the British MY26 HP X sheet. This identifies documented differences between those references, not every worldwide variant.
It is particularly useful when comparing new stock with an earlier model. A registration, delivery, or listing date does not replace the actual model year and configuration.
More peak output, similar nominal battery capacity
The selected MY25 reference claims 21 kW. Sur-Ron lists 24.5 kW in Turbo and 21.5 kW in Sport for the British MY26 HP X. Both sheets give 74 V and 60 Ah, or a calculated nominal 4.44 kWh. In these specifications, increased output does not come with increased nominal battery capacity.
Claimed weight is 88.5 kg for both references. This does not establish identical components or behavior. It demonstrates why performance updates, battery energy, and weight deserve separate attention.
Compare the functions individually
The British MY26 sheet details Auto Hold, ASR, SWC, and adjustable regeneration levels. Ask which features the offered bike actually has, how the manual describes them, and what operating conditions apply. An acronym in a listing is not a clear demonstration.
This HP X belongs to the off-road range. Do not apply a HP T’s or another market’s road-use claims to it. Approval documents remain specific to the vehicle sold.
Who benefits from the update?
If your existing Ultra Bee suits your rides, a higher output ceiling is not a reason to replace it by itself. Identify the limits you really encounter: range, fit, setup, pace, or support. Your need may concern adjustment or maintenance instead of a different model year.
For a first purchase, compare complete quotes and actual delivered bikes, not just a “2026” headline. Support, battery, equipment, and documents should be identified. The Ultra Bee’s appealing intermediate chassis format deserves more consideration than a kilowatt contest.
